It is a wonderful feeling realising someone’s vision in clay!

I adore taking on commissions, and would love to hear from you. This page outlines the process of commissioning; from the conception of an idea, right through to the finished ceramic piece. Below are some examples of my recent commissions, which include a bespoke florist’s bowl and a coffee jar.

The Idea

See a surface design you like, but fancy it on a different form? Or maybe you are yearning for a piece which isn’t in my collection.

Get in touch with your idea by emailing me at katewelton@hotmail.com

The Conversation

Once you have contacted me, I will begin our conversation. I believe deeply that this is a two-way relationship, and you will be involved and informed every step of the way. We will discuss your idea, making sure the size, shape and decoration for your piece are decided before I start to make. Costs will also be stated at this point.

The Creation

Due to the small-scale production, and the bespoke nature of commissions, I will usually set a lead time of 5 weeks. This is something to bear in mind if you are commissioning a piece as a gift, and need it by a specific date.

Once the piece is finished, I will post it out to you, using my Eco-friendly packaging. I LOVE seeing my pieces in their new homes, so always welcome photographs of your commissions in use!
